Events: James W. Hall will sign books at Inkwood Books in Tampa

James W. Hall (Silencer) will sign his Florida thriller at 2 p.m. today at Inkwood Books, 216 S Armenia Ave., Tampa.

The Scholar's Choice lecture series at the Clearwater Main Library will present Maryhelen Harmon, retired associate professor of English at the University of South Florida, discussing Herman Melville's Bartleby, the Scrivener at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the library, 100 N Osceola Ave.

Saint Leo University will present St. Petersburg Times managing editor/enterprise Mike Wilson and Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter Lane DeGregory speaking on "Composing First-Person Narratives" at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Daniel A. Cannon Memorial Library, on the campus at 33701 State Road 52, St. Leo.
