Jeff Parker (Ovenman), director of the low-residency creative writing program at the University of Tampa, will discuss and sign his novel at 1 p.m. today at Bookstore1Sarasota, 1359 Main St., Sarasota.

Janny Wurts (Initiate's Trial) will sign her fantasy novel at 7 p.m. Monday at Bookstore1Sarasota.
