Events: Jewel Spears Brooker to discuss T.S. Eliot's 'Four Quartets'

Jewel Spears Brooker, professor of English literature at Eckerd College, will discuss T.S. Eliot's Four Quartets at noon Tuesday at the Cathedral Church of St. Peter, 140 Fourth St. N, St. Petersburg. Free; light lunch available.

The Clearwater Main Library's Scholar's Choice Lecture Series presents Nancy Jane Tyson, University of South Florida associate professor of English, discussing The Mill on the Floss by George Eliot at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the library, 100 N Osceola Ave.

Michael Sidney Fosberg (Incognito: An American Odyssey of Race and Self-Discovery) will read from and sign his memoir, based on the one-man play he has performed all over the United States, at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Books at Park Place, 3619 49th St. N, St. Petersburg.

Fiction writer and psychotherapist Amy Bloom (Where the God of Love Hangs Out) will discuss and sign her short story collection at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Inkwood Books, 216 S Armenia Ave., Tampa.

Journalist and author Susan Jacoby (Never Say Die: The Myth and Marketing of the New old Age) will discuss and sign her nonfiction book at 7 p.m. Thursday at Inkwood Books.
