Eamonn Wall (A Tour of Your Country) will read his poetry and discuss "Ecologies, Traditions, Influence, Sense of Place: Writing and Film From the West of Ireland Meets the American West" at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the Plant Hall Music Room, University of Tampa, 401 W Kennedy Blvd.

Former Tampa Mayor Pam Iorio (Straightforward: Ways to Live and Lead) will discuss and sign her book at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Tampa Bay History Center, 801 Old Water St., Tampa.

Johanna Moran (The Wives of Henry Oades) will discuss and sign her historical novel at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Bookstore1Sarasota.

Bookstore1Sarasota will present Tayari Jones (Silver Sparrow) in collaboration with the West Coast Black Theatre Troupe at 5 p.m. Friday at the theater, 1646 10th Way, Sarasota.

Ron Tanner (Kiss Me, Stranger) will read from and sign his comic dystopian YA novel at 6 p.m. Friday at Inkwood Books.
