Events: John Capouya, John Posey to discuss narrative storytelling at University of Tampa on Feb. 22

University of Tampa professor John Capouya and screenwriter John Posey, who are collaborating on a screenplay based on Capouya's book Gorgeous George: The Outrageous Bad-Boy Wrestler Who Created American Pop Culture, will talk about narrative storytelling and screenwriting at 6 p.m. Monday at Reeves Theater, on the UT campus, 401 W Kennedy Blvd.

Norman Jones II (The Art of Livin' Ink! and Bronzeville USA) will sign his books of memoir and black history at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Sunshine Center, 330 Fifth St. N, St. Petersburg; at 6 p.m. Thursday at Barnes & Noble, 500 Third St. S, St. Petersburg; and at 11 a.m. Saturday at Unity Temple of Truth, 511 Prescott St., St. Petersburg.

Eckerd College professor emeritus Bill Parsons will present a talk on Vesegonskii Amerikanets (The American From Vesegonsk) by Inna Povedskaya, a new book in Russian about St. Petersburg founder Peter Demens, at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Sunshine Center, 330 Fifth St. N, St. Petersburg. Admission is $5.

Young adult author Lisa McMann (Gone) will discuss and sign her paranormal thriller at 6 p.m. Thursday at Inkwood Books, 216 S Armenia Ave., Tampa.

St. Petersburg Times environmental reporter Craig Pittman (Paving Paradise: Florida's Vanishing Wetlands and the Failure of No Net Loss) will talk about and sign his book at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Hernando Audubon Society monthly meeting, Community Activity Center, 205 E Fort Dade Ave., Brooksville.

S.G. Browne (Breathers: A Zombie's Lament) will sign his book at 2 p.m. Saturday at Haslam's Book Store, 2025 Central Ave., St. Petersburg. He will also appear at the release party for the fiction anthology Zombie St. Pete, which will take place from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the St. Petersburg Pier, 800 Second Ave. NE.
