The Studio@620 presents Rituals of Attention: The Art of Suzanne Williamson and Donald Morrill, a reading by Morrill, a University of Tampa professor of English, from his nonfiction book Impetuous Sleeper, augmented by Williamson's photographs of the American landscape. East Lake Community Library's Author Showcase presents Debby Mayne (Peachtree Dreams) talking about writing and targeting a reading audience at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the library, 4125 East Lake Road, Palm Harbor.

The Studio@620's Pen Is Mightier literary series presents Eckerd College political science professor William Felice (How Do I Save My Honor?) discussing his book about individual moral responsibility in time of war. The event, which includes a question-and-answer session moderated by St. Petersburg Times book editor Colette Bancroft, is at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the studio.

The Upper Tampa Bay Regional Library presents Victorian literature scholar William Scheuerle speaking at a celebration of the 193rd birthday of Charlotte Bronte (Jane Eyre). Victorian costumes are encouraged; the party is at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the library, 11211 Countryway Blvd., Tampa.
