Events: Novelist Wendy Wax to speak, sign book in St. Pete Beach

Wendy Wax (The Accidental Bestseller) will talk about and sign her novel at a welcome-home party at 2 p.m. today at the St. Pete Beach Library, 365 73rd Ave.

Ro Martinez (Modeling at Any Age for Fun and Profit) will present a workshop on modeling based on her book at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at East Lake Community Library, 4125 East Lake Road, Palm Harbor.

George Zeller (Beyond My Father's Farm) will talk about his memoir at 2 p.m. Thursday at Jan Kaminis Platt Regional Library, 3910 S Manhattan Ave., Tampa.

John Cinchett (Vintage Tampa Signs and Scenes) will talk about and sign his book of historic photos at noon Saturday at the Tampa Bay History Center, 801 Old Water St., Tampa.

Lynda Lippman-Lockhart (Oodles of Poodles of Dark Corner) will discuss and sign her children's book at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Pete Beach Library, 365 73rd Ave., and at 3 p.m. Saturday at Haslam's Book Store, 2025 Central Ave., St. Petersburg.

Events

The Poynter Institute presents a community conversation with Jennifer Weiner, "Journalism Made Me a Novelist." Weiner's bestselling novel In Her Shoes was made into a hit movie, and her seventh book, Best Friends Forever, will be published in July.
