Events: Patricia Friedberg to discuss, sign historical novel

Book Talk

Patricia Friedberg (21 Aldgate) will discuss and sign her historical novel at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Geldbart Auditorium, Selby Public Library, 1331 First St., Sarasota.

A National Poetry Month Celebration will feature a reading and signing by St. Petersburg poet laureate Peter Meinke (The Shape of Poetry), Saint Leo University writing instructor Gianna Russo (Moon Flower) and University of Tampa professor Erica Dawson (Big-Eyed Afraid) at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Inkwood Books, 216 S Armenia Ave., Tampa.

Times environmental reporter Craig Pittman (The Scent of Scandal: Greed, Betrayal and the World's Most Beautiful Orchid) will discuss and sign his book at 2 p.m. Thursday at Geldbart Auditorium, Selby Public Library.
