Events: Thriller author James Grippando to discuss and sign his book in Clearwater

The Clearwater Library System's adult summer reading program kicks off with a discussion and signing by thriller author James Grippando (Money to Burn) at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the library, 2251 E Drew St.

Kris Radish (Hearts on a String) will sign her novel at 7 p.m. Thursday at Inkwood Books, 216 S Armenia Ave., Tampa.

YA authors Christina Gonzalez (The Red Umbrella), Danielle Joseph (Shrinking Violet) and children's author Adrienne Sylver (Hot Diggity Dog: The History of the Hot Dog) will talk about and sign their books at 5 p.m. Friday at Inkwood Books, 216 S Armenia Ave., Tampa.

Tirena Say Chiavacci (Seeing Colors) will talk about and sign her memoir about depression at 6 p.m. Friday at the St. Petersburg Yacht Club, 11 Central Ave.

The Safety Harbor Public Library will present an Author Open House with more than 30 Florida authors, including Anne W. Anderson, Charrie Hazard, Sandy Huff, Patricia Seaver McGivern, Bill South, Tammar Stein and Raymond Weaver, from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the library, 101 Second St. N.
