Book Talk

The University of Tampa's Low-Residency MFA Program's Lectores series presents free readings and book signings by program authors. All readings begin at 7:30 p.m.

Monday: Poet TJ Jarrett (Zion), Sykes Chapel, UT campus, 401 W Kennedy Blvd., Tampa

Tuesday: Fiction writers Gina Frangello (A Life in Men) and Mikhail Iossel (Every Hunter Wants to Know), Falk Theatre, 428 W Kennedy Blvd., Tampa

Wednesday: Novelist Stefan Kiesbye (The Staked Plains) and nonfiction writer Joe Oestreich (Lines of Scrimmage: A Story of Football, Race, and Redemption), Falk Theatre

Thursday: Poet Patricia Smith (Shoulda Been Jimi Savannah), Falk Theatre

The Cathedral Church of St. Peter's book talk series presents Edgar Award-winning author Lori Roy (Let Me Die in His Footsteps) at noon Tuesday at the church, 140 Fourth St. N, St. Petersburg. Free; lunch available for $5.

Local author Barbara Riddle (The Girl Pretending to Read Rilke) will discuss her book at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Evening Book Club, Barbara S. Ponce Public Library, 7770 52nd St., Pinellas Park.

Novelists Phillippe Diederich (Sofrito) and Vanessa Blakeslee (Juventud) will discuss and sign their books at 7 p.m. Thursday at Inkwood Books, 218 S Armenia Ave., Tampa
