Events: USF writing professor Ira Sukrungruang to discuss his memoir in Tampa

University of South Florida writing professor Ira Sukrungruang (Talk Thai: The Adventures of Buddhist Boy) will discuss his memoir at 7 p.m. Monday at Reeves Theatre, University of Tampa, 401 W Kennedy Blvd., Tampa.

Meghan McCain (Dirty Sexy Politics) will discuss her memoir about growing up in a political family at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Marshall Student Center Oval Theater, University of South Florida, 4202 E Fowler Ave., Tampa.

University of Central Florida professor Susan Hubbard (The Season of Risks) will discuss and sign the third novel in her Ethical Vampire series at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Safety Harbor Public Library, 101 Second St. N.

The Friends of the Library Tampa-Hillsborough County's Four Seasons author series luncheon will feature radio journalist Pat Duggins (Trailblazing Mars: NASA's Next Giant Leap) discussing and signing his book at noon Friday at the University Club, 38th floor, 1 Tampa City Center. Tickets are $30; reservations must be made by Monday at (813) 273-3616.

Historians Steven Noll and David Tadeger (Ditch of Dreams: The Cross Florida Barge Canal and the Struggle for Florida's Future) will discuss their book at noon Friday in the Poynter Library, University of South Florida St. Petersburg, 140 Seventh Ave. S.
