How to Cool the Planet: Geoengineering and the Audacious Quest to Fix Earth's Climate (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt) by Jeff Goodell is a journalist's look at the promising and perilous sides of such radical scientific proposals as deflecting sunlight or using artificial volcanoes to combat climate change.

True Green Life in 100 Everyday Ways (National Geographic) by Kim McKay and Jenny Bonin gathers simple, doable tips for reducing your impact on the environment, from eco-showers for a new baby to green funerals.
