Bearing geek gifts

Just in time for the holidays, here are books for the completists on your list.

A Very Klingon Khristmas (Star Trek) (Simon and Schuster) by Paul Ruditis, illustrated by Patrick Faricy, is a parody picture book with Rockwellian art and carols in Klingon — have some mulled blood wine and hope you don't find any tribbles in your stocking!

Star Wars: Complete Vehicles (DK) is a lavishly illustrated, meticulously detailed and annotated collection of imaginary vehicles, including cross sections of everything from a Wookiee catamaran to the Millennium Falcon.

Doctor Who: The Vault: Treasures from the First 50 Years (Harper Design) by Marcus Hearn ranges from preproduction memos from 1963 to costume designs and interviews with many cast and crew members, along with hundreds of photos and sketches in a handsomely designed package.

Colette Bancroft, Times book editor
