Love, hate or ignore Twitter, but it can yield some funny stuff.
My Shorts R Bunching. Thoughts? The Tweets of Roland Hedley (Andrews McMeel Universal) by Gary Trudeau rounds up the tweets of the Doonesbury faux journalist: "Think I'll stir the pot and report the previous tweet as fact. We report, you decide."
Twitterature (Penguin) by Alexander Aciman and Emmett Rensin compiles tweet-length summaries of great literary works, such as Macbeth: "@LadyMac: THERE'S NOTHING ON YOUR HANDS, YOU'VE WASHED THEM 100 TIMES ALREADY!!"
Twitter Wit: Brilliance in 140 Characters or Less (It Books) by Nick Douglas gathers real tweets like: "Leno criticized Twitter for having a permanent record of anything you've ever said. Sounds almost as horrible as taping yourself every day."
Colette Bancroft, Times book editor
