These new paperback editions of bestselling novels alert us to upcoming movie versions.

Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk (Ecco) by Ben Fountain is a scathing satire about American soldiers in Iraq and professional football; directed by Ang Lee, the movie stars Kristen Stewart, Garrett Hedlund and Chris Tucker.

Indignation (Vintage) by Philip Roth, set on an Ohio college campus in the 1950s, follows a young Jewish man from New Jersey as he finds a new life; the movie stars Logan Lerman and Sarah Gadon and is directed by James Schamus.

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (Quirk) by Ransom Riggs is a strange tale told in part with quirky black-and-white photos; the film is directed by Tim Burton, stars Eva Green and Samuel L. Jackson and was shot partly in the Tampa Bay area.
