Journalist Lynn Waddell (Fringe Florida: Travels Among Mud Boggers, Furries, Ufologists, Nudists and Other Lovers of Unconventional Lifestyles) will discuss and sign her nonfiction book at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Bookstore1Sarasota.

The University of South Florida English Department and Florida Literary Arts Coalition present award-winning poet Joseph Millar (Blue Rust) reading from his work at 6 p.m. Thursday at USF Graphicstudio, 3702 Spectrum Blvd., Tampa.

Poet Alexis Orgera (Dust Jacket) will read from and sign her new collection at 6 p.m. Thursday at Bookstore1Sarasota.

Bryan Mealer (Muck City: Winning and Losing in Football's Forgotten Town — selected as Sarasota County's "2014 One Book") will discuss and sign his nonfiction book at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Selby Public Library, 1331 First St., Sarasota.
