What's on your nightstand?
Joel Osteen's book It's Your Time. If you are faith oriented, it's a very hopeful book. At a difficult time, with so many challenges, in a stressful world, with busy lives, it is comforting to read his positive, encouraging outlook. It's the second book of his I've read.
When your kids were young, what did you enjoy reading together?
When my kids were young, we read all the children's classics. Goodnight Moon, Velveteen Rabbit, Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, all the fairy tales, when they were kids. And later, books like Little Women. I had Nancy Drew books left over from when I was young, and they loved those too. They read very traditional books.
