Reader's Exchange: Outfit Barbie in new clothes

The holiday season is upon us, and Sue of Largo would like to get into the spirit by giving some fabric scraps and clothes already cut out for Barbie to someone who makes doll clothes. Sue has a pattern and the dolls to go with it, and she suggests it would make a wonderful project for someone. Sue also has a friend who would like to donate a Yamaha Electone organ along with a "high" chair and bench and lots of music and the original manual. The organ was played until two years ago and would be especially nice for a church. If you are interested in either or all of these items, please contact Sue at (727) 480-1137.

Steve of Gulfport is a retiree looking for a grow light to grow vegetables from seed. He had one that recently broke, and he found that trying to repair it was more expensive than buying a new one. He says any type will do. If you have a grow light for Steve, please give him a call at (727) 543-4499.

Ray of Clearwater has used Reader's Exchange in the past to give a treadmill and a table and chairs to a good home. He was delighted to have received 24 calls the day the offer ran, and the items were picked up by that afternoon. Now Ray is hoping to have the same success with another generous offer. He has a 27-inch color Philips-Magnavox television in perfect working condition that he would like to give to a good home. Ray would like to emphasize that this is not a flat-screen television. If you are interested, please call Ray at (727) 791-1599.

Lucy of Palm Harbor has recently downsized to a studio apartment, and she is in need of a cot that would fold up flat and perhaps be stored under a bed. She compares the style of cot that she is looking for to a military-style cot. Lucy is willing to pick it up anywhere in the Tampa Bay area. If you can help, please give Lucy a call at (727) 773-1017.

Brenda of Pinellas Park has an illness that is requiring her to get treatment out of state. She will have to mail her medical records to her doctors here, and she cannot afford any postage to do so. She is hoping that some kind readers out there will have some extra postage around that they are not using and would donate to her. Brenda can be reached at (727) 548-1776.
