Reader's Exchange: She'd like to hit the water with her daughter, but needs a pedal boat

Published April 25, 2012

It's hard to believe, but summer is almost here, and many people are busy planning their activities. That is the case for Lisa of Hudson. Her 8-year-old daughter, Cammy, will be on school break soon, and they would like to find a pedal boat to while away the summer hours. Lisa says the pedaling would be great exercise for both of them. She hopes someone out there has outgrown their pedal boat and would be willing to donate it to them. Lisa has a van, so she is happy to arrange for pickup anywhere in the bay area. She can be reached at (727) 364-6881.

In February, Sara Henkel requested seashells for her shellcraft club. The club meets at the Clearwater Beach Library. Sara wrote in to say that she got calls from all over the county for many seashell donations! She says her group would like to thank everyone who donated, and that the donations will greatly aid the nonprofit Friends of the Clearwater Beach Library and Recreation Center. Their "shells" go out to you and their hats are off to you!
