Reader's Exchange: 'Star Trek' magazines up for grabs Reader's Exchange: 'Star Trek' magazines up for grabs

Calling all Star Trek fans! Audrey of St. Petersburg has 20 Star Trek magazines that she would like to beam up to a new home! Audrey says they are new, in mint condition, and some are still in the plastic wrap. She says there are 15 Star Trek Communicator magazines with several duplicate issues, plus two Deep Space Nine and three Star Trek Voyager magazines. There's just one catch: The interested party must take all of them. If you are that party, please call Audrey at (727) 577-8040. Live long and prosper!

Often, for various reasons, people have to give up the items that were once affiliated with their favorite hobbies. That is the case for two readers this week.

Mildred of New Port Richey has recently decided to sell her house and move to a retirement home. As a result, she has to downsize, so she has to give away many things and is hoping someone out there will be able to use them. Her inventory includes embroidery stuff, latch-hook yarns and even 101 empty wooden thread spools, as well as many more incidentals. Mildred may be reached at home at (727) 376-4922 or on her cellphone at (727) 858-1220.

Bette of Treasure Island loved to sew for many years, but due to recent spinal surgery, she just can't do it anymore. Now she has boxes of fabric, linings, zippers, tapes, buttons and patterns that she would like to give to someone who could use them. They must be picked up. Bette can be reached at (727) 367-4264.

A while back, Mary Whaley of Pinellas Park wrote in requesting an electric meat slicer. She and her husband are both cancer patients, and the meat slicer would make things easier for them. Although Mary got some phone calls, she never was able to find what she was looking for, so she is hoping that this time someone will have either an electric meat slicer or even a manual one (not an electric knife). If you can help Mary, please call her at (727) 541-1429.
