Why? If the packs become damaged, they can leak gel that could contain diethylene glycol and ethylene glycol, which can cause illness if ingested in large amounts.

Why? The weight selector dial on the units can fail, causing weight plates to fall when the dumbbell is lifted from its cradle.

What models? The black steel dumbbells are sold in pairs and can have a weight capacity of 10 to 90 pounds. The word Bowflex is written in gray along the top of each handle. This recall involves units with a date-of-manufacture code in the serial number in the range of 1111 through 1136.
