What models? The toy nails are oversized, plastic and about 3 1/4 inches long by 1 1/4 inch in diameter. The nails are either red or blue and have a large round head; below the nail head there is a plastic ridge, slightly smaller than the nail head and about 1 inch in diameter. Why? The product could be contaminated with listeria monocytogenes, an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people and others with weakened immune systems.

What models? True Leaf Farms chopped or shredded romaine lettuce with a use-by date of 9/29/11 and a box code of B256-46438-8.

What models? The organic grape tomatoes are sold in 10.5-ounce plastic clam shell containers containing UPC code 033383655925, located on the front of the package, below the barcode. The containers also have the words LIMITED EDITION and Product of Mexico printed on the label. The organic grape tomatoes are also sold in 7-ounce plastic clam shell containers with Barcode 20025465, and marketed under the Fresh & Easy brand.

What models? Three-pound chubs of a generic label ground beef 73 percent lean - 27 percent fat, packed in 36-pound cases each containing 12 chubs. Cases bear an identifying product code of D-0211 LWI.

Why? Small pegs on the xylophone toy can loosen and detach, posing a choking hazard to young children.

What models? The table has a green painted surface and colorful instruments affixed to the top. The table stands about 7 1/2 inches tall and has three supporting legs. Instruments on the table include a xylophone, cymbal, drum and two drumsticks.

Why? Plastic tabs on the feet of the step stools can cause the stools to be unstable, posing a fall hazard.

Printed on the underside of the step stools is one of the following five numbers: 100097963, 100099019, 100097230, 100100584 or 100102942. All recalled stools also have four plastic tabs affixed to the feet of the step stool.

Shermag drop-side cribs

Company: Shermag Inc.

Why? The drop-side rail hardware on the cribs can break or fail, allowing the drop side to detach from the crib. When the drop side detaches, a hazardous gap is created between the drop-side rail and the crib mattress in which infants and toddlers can become wedged or entrapped, posing risks of suffocation and strangulation. In addition, children can fall out of the crib when the drop-side rail falls unexpectedly or detaches from the crib.

What models? Wooden drop-side cribs with hidden drop-side hardware. Model numbers 202647, 211047 and 272547 were sold separately and as part of the City Lights, Fairy Tales and Dormez Vous furniture collections. Shermag is printed on a tag on the mattress springs.
