Toilet flushing systems

Why? The system can burst at or near the vessel weld seam, releasing stored pressure. This pressure can lift the tank lid and shatter the tank.

What models? Flushmate III Pressure-Assist Flushing Systems, series 503.

Where sold? Home Depot and Lowe's, distributors, plumbing contractors and toilet manufacturers.

Chevrolet Cruze

Company: General Motors Co.

Why? Problems with an engine shield or a fuel tank strap could result in a fire.

What models? 2011-2012 Chevrolet Cruze.

Big Lots ceramic heaters

Company: Big Lots.

Quantity: 70,500.

Why? The heaters can overheat and melt, posing a fire or electric shock hazard.

What models? Two models of 1500 watt Climate Keeper ceramic heaters. Both have a fan, two dials on top, a wire mesh panel in front and the name Climate Keeper and a label on the bottom with the model number and ETL 3130679. Model FH107A has gray plastic housing. Model PTC-902T is an oscillating heater with silver-gray plastic housing.

Why? The air mover/blower's internal electrical capacitor can fail and overheat, posing a fire hazard.

What models? Aqua Dri is printed on the top of some of the air movers. Model 3004AD or model 3004ADxxx (with additional letters) is printed on the serial number plate on the back of the units.

Where sold? Flood remediation contractors and other service professionals from January 2003-September 2011.

Why? The product has the potential to be contaminated with salmonella, which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.

Why? When it is turned on, the oven's bake/broil ignition can delay starting. This poses a fire hazard.

Where sold? Lowe's from Feb.1-March 1, 2012.

Mercedes-Benz E350

Why? A connecting rod for the load-leveling rear suspension system may fail, which could lead to a crash.

Why? The rear axle can break causing a rear wheel to detach.

What models? Tricruiser Electric-Powered Adult Tricycles are battery powered with 24-inch wheels and a basket between the rear wheels. Their brand name, eZip or iZip, is printed on the sides of the bike and above the front wheel.

Why? The surface paint on the legs of the recliner contains excessive levels of lead.

What models? The recalled adult-sized recliner chairs have wooden legs, a reclining function and footrest extension. The fabric is jacquard in a paisley design. The phrases: Manufactured By Xiamen Xinzhjheng Foam Products Co., LTD Xiang-Bei Industrial Area, Xiang' An District, Xiamen and Made in China are printed on a label located on the underside of the recliner chair.
