St. Patrick's Day is so Squaresville

It's not every day that an independently owned clothing, furniture and curio shop in Hyde Park can boast a decade anniversary — but retro-inspired store Squaresville, right in the middle of the Howard Avenue action, has just sailed its mighty ship through ten years of '80s reunion tours, '70s soul parties and countless pirate-themed events with the dignity of '50s Elvis and the flair of late '70s Elvis.

Craig Greabell, owner and resident "square," is comfy in his South Tampa digs, where passers-by and loyal patrons stroll in to check out the latest selections of new T-shirts featuring old bands and now-defunct sports teams (Rowdies, anyone?) or just to get a Proustian taste of yesteryear, when bright orange and brown was today's black and white and Burt Reynolds' chest hair was not funny.

Stop by for their happenin' selection of St. Patrick's Day wear — green caps for your teeth, ladies' tanks and flashing LED earrings, among other assorted fare.

Squaresville is located on 508 S. Howard Avenue. Call 813-259-9944 for more information.
