Events: John Brandon to discuss novel, 'Citrus County', at Inkwood Books

Book Talk

John Brandon (Citrus County) will talk about and sign his novel about the darkly funny side of Florida at 7 p.m. Thursday at Inkwood Books, 216 S Armenia Ave., Tampa.

The Artists and Writers Group will hold auditions for writers and readers for its Deep Carnivale literature festival (which takes place Sept. 11 at Hillsborough Community College Ybor campus) at 7 p.m. Thursday at Globe Coffee Lounge, 532 First Ave. N, St. Petersburg. Participants will have two minutes to read their own work or work by any author. To reserve a spot, contact David Audet, daudet@hccfl.edu.

Tom Angleburger (The Strange Case of the Origami Yoda) will talk about and sign his novel for young readers at 2 p.m. Saturday at Inkwood Books.
