5 thing to do under $5 July 26-Aug. 1

1 Dive-In Movie: 'Jaws': We double dare you to watch this one while floating in the water. Good thing this is at a city pool and not the nearby beach or we suspect the water would be empty. Since it's a shark scare-fest, this is 18 and older only Friday at the St. Pete Beach Aquatic Center, 7701 Boca Ciega Drive. Admission is $5 per person; doors open at 8 p.m. Drinks, snacks and glow jewelry will be sold at the pool. (727) 363-9264.

3 Heineken's Hot Summer Nights: The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and radio station Hot 101.5 are throwing this poolside summer bash with Jayde with DJ Ekin spinning at a party that aims to combine South Beach energy with Vegas glamor. It's free admission but you have to go to hot1015tampabay.com to be on the guest list from 8 to 11 p.m. Friday at 5223 N Orient Road, Tampa.

2 Mango Festival in Wimauma: Celebrate the super-sweet tropical fruit at a party held under the oak trees on the 20-acre Colorfield Farms nursery, which offers fruit trees for sale. There will be mango samplings, seminars, live music and food trucks. It runs 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday at the nursery at 8221 SR 674 in Wimauma, near Sun City Center. $5; under 6 or older than 80 are free.

4 Splash's Treasure Hunt: There's pirate booty hidden in the water that children ages 10 and under can find in age-group treasure hunts at the Highland Family Aquatic Center in Largo on Saturday. All ages can take advantage of a special four-hour swim session and visit with Ye Mystic Krewe of the Santa Margarita pirates. There will be free hot dogs and Chick-fil-A sandwiches while supplies last, chair massages and lots of door prizes. Cost is $3 with a Largo recreation card and $5 without. It starts at 11 a.m. Saturday at 400 Highland Ave. NE, Largo. (727) 518-3018.

5 Preseason USF Tailgate Party: Drape yourself in green and gold and join other Bulls fans for an appearance by head coach Skip Holtz. Watch last season's video highlights, buy merchandise from Bulls Outfitter, play games and win prizes starting at 4 p.m. Saturday at Capogna's Dugout, 1653 Gulf-to-Bay Blvd., Clearwater. Free admission. (727) 776-6309.
