Dora reads: Dora the Explorer will be appearing and reading some of her favorite adventures during a story time event, 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Jan Platt Regional Library, 3910 S Manhattan Ave. Four free tickets to the Dora the Explorer: Search for the City of Lost Toys performance on Sunday will be given out. Golf tournament and auction: The Steinbrenner High School volleyball team is hosting a golf tournament and silent auction to raise money for equipment and uniforms. Shotgun start at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Heritage Harbor Golf and Country Club, 19502 Heritage Harbor Parkway, with registration at 7 a.m. Entry fees are $80 per person and include green fees, range balls, cart, goodie bag, lunch and awards. Wellness day: Gardens Wellness Center will feature acupuncture and holistic healing as part of "wellness day" at the Lotus Room from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at 1101 W Kennedy Blvd. The event will have free workshops, yoga classes, acupuncture, massage, tea samples and refreshments. Photos wanted: The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts wants to borrow Woodstock-related photos to show while running "Burk Uzzle's Woodstock and Other America" exhibition. Drop off photos at the museum, 200 N Tampa St. A form for the photos can be found at www.fmopa.org. Photos are due by Sept. 1. Call (813) 221-2222 for information.
