Concert

Snoop Dogg The Dogg pound is da hizzle. How odd is it that even your mom knows how to understand "Snoop Speak?" It helps that he starred as himself in an episode of Weeds and even has his own iPhone app, iFizzle. Check out his "Blazed & Confused" tour at the USF Sun Dome Friday featuring Slightly Stoopid, Steven Marley and Mickey Avalon. The show is at 6 p.m. Tickets ($35) available through Ticketmaster.

Baseball show

Flo Rida Long before the South Florida native gave us hits like Low and Sugar, he dreamed of making it big in sports. Flo's passions for music and sports will collide Friday when he performs after the Rays-Royals game as part of Tropicana Field's summer concert series. First pitch is at 7:38 p.m. Get tickets at rays.mlb.com. Concert is included in your game ticket.

Take the kids

Demi Lovato and David Archuleta The power-teen popsters have combined adorbable forces for an evening of super-cute, squeaky-clean fun. The American Idol runner-up Archuleta has a great grin and great range, and an oh-so devoted fan club. Camp Rock star Lovato, 16, has come a long way from her Barney and Friends beginnings and opening for the Jonas Brothers last year. Theater

Richard III Shakespeare's most violent play is turned into a "rock 'n' roll theater hybrid show Friday through Monday at the Studio@620, 620 First Ave. S in St. Petersburg at 8 p.m. Expect highly stylized design, rock music, fierce fight scenes and modern dance. The show moves to the State theater in St. Petersburg 8 p.m. Aug. 8 and Arts on 9th in Ybor City 8 p.m. Aug. 13-16. Price: $20, $15 students/seniors

Beer and wine

WaZoo This weekend the wildest things at the zoo will be running around in shorts and flip-flops. It's WaZoo, Lowry Park Zoo's annual beer and wine festival fundraiser with samplings from breweries around the world, Wines on the Wild Side wine garden, cuisine from area restaurants and live music. Every year it rains, so bring an umbrella to shield your cup. WaZoo is 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday at 1101 W Sligh Ave., Tampa.
