Cinco de Mayo It's the 5th of May and that means every taco hut in town has a drink special. In Dunedin, they hold an actual street festival to celebrate the defeat of the French army by the Mexicans at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. Starting at 5 p.m. along Main Street in downtown Dunedin, there will be food from Casa Tina, mariachi and salsa bands, and dancers and performances. Free admission, fee for food, beverages.

Cinco De Mayo at Channelside The party mall in Tampa's Channelside district will celebrate Mexican food, culture and music from 4 to 11 p.m., co-sponsored by radio station The Point 101.5-FM
