tbt* Rays Night It's a networking party for young professionals tonight on the tbt* Party Deck in Tropicana Field — and it's a Yankees game. A two-hour open bar begins at 6:30, allowing time to exchange business cards before the Yankees-Rays game. It costs $30 with password TBT1. Go to raysbaseball.com/tbt.

Clash of the Comics This Last Comic Standing-type contest of local talent is down to 10 comics competing for the audience's affection at the Tampa Improv. Professional comic Ron Morey will be on hand to keep things moving along. Then the audience will vote for two comics who will remain in the competition. Tickets are $8 at the Improv in Centro Ybor, (813) 864-4000; tampaimprov.com.

God Forbid The politically minded New Jersey death-metal band plays with Death Angel at 6:30 at Boomerz, 6990 Seminole Blvd., Seminole. $16.75-$20 through Ticketmaster. Call (727) 329-9299. The band's live DVD, Beneath the Scars of Glory and Progression, will land in stores June 10.

Conversations & Cocktails The Ophelia Project — Tampa Bay, a series of networking and social events for young professional women ages 25 to 35, and the Tampa Performing Arts Center are hosting a panel of local professionals to talk about " Fortune — How to Live Your Personally Rich Life." The event will begin with networking from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m. at TPAC's Ferguson Lobby, followed by panelists from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Admission is $10, which includes one drink and appetizers. For reservations, call (813) 514-9555 ext. 116 or visit opheliatampa.org.

Career Expo Polish your resume and your shoes and head to the Tampa Convention Center, 333 S Franklin St., for the Jobing.com Career Expo from noon to 5 p.m. More than 60 employers are on hand and you can get free resume review and career workshops.

Coming up

Nonpoint The genre known as nu metal, the fusion of alternative rock with metal and funk, got a foothold in South Florida thanks to this interracial foursome that mixes alternative metal with rap (including some in Spanish!). They play Thursday at 7 p.m. at Jannus Landing, 16 Second St. N, St. Petersburg. $16.50-$20. (727) 895-3045.

Museum Day Museums across the Tampa Bay area open their doors for a free day of culture on Saturday. Of course, most hope you voluntarily drop a donation to show some support for the cause. But this is a great opportunity to visit some of the places you never get around to, such as the Dali Museum, Florida Holocaust Museum, Great Explorations Children's Museum, Museum of Fine Arts, Sunken Gardens and MOSI, Tampa's Museum of Science and Industry.
