1 See Persepolis, part of the Eckerd College International Cinema Series, at 7 p.m. Friday at the school's Miller Auditorium, 4200 54th Ave. S in St. Petersburg. From directors Vincent Paronnaud and Marjane Satrapi, this coming-of-age story about an outspoken Iranian girl at the time of the Islamic revolution was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film in 2007. Free

2 Ladies Night Out on Corey starts tonight in St. Pete Beach. The event runs from 5 to 10 p.m. along Corey Avenue, and there will be wine (natch!), food tastings, treats, door prizes, live music, Charade (starring Cary Grant) at 8 p.m. at the Beach Theatre and raffles. A portion of participating merchant purchases benefits CASA. Free

3 The Kids Art Festival held at the David L. Mason Children's Art Museum, 1143 Michigan Blvd. in Dunedin, features a big range of fun diversions on Saturday. There will be outdoor activities, music, games and the popular Paint-A-Car, where kids get to paint their designs on a real ride. Then head into the museum to see the new dream-related hands-on exhibit. A $3 suggested donation is requested for the festival; museum admission is free. The fun runs 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. $3

4 Forget diet and exercise — you can become a model for just $5. Photographer Dave Pritchard will make you his subject for that sum at the Art Mixer at the Tampa Artist Emporium on Saturday. The mixer also features an exhibit and reception, with participating artists, wine and refreshments on hand. Check it out from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday at 1618 Snow Ave. in Tampa. Free

5 Support scholarships by attending the Act 1ne Summer Concert Series at the Galaxy Center for the Arts, 8045 46th Ave. N, St. Petersburg, on Sunday. Multilingual vocalist Jean Paul Reymont performs; the money raised goes toward kids in grades K-12 whose families need help affording music lessons or other performing arts related classes. The show starts at 2 p.m. $5
