Lucky Ducky Derby Score Super Bowl tickets and help a worthy cause by adopting a rubber duck for the Sunday "race" in downtown Tampa. Benefitting America's Second Harvest of Tampa Bay, proceeds will help provide food to more than 300 charities and churches in west-central Florida. To adopt a duck for $5, go to luckyduckyderby.com or visit a participating site, which are listed online. At noon on derby day, organizers will drop thousands of yellow rubber ducks into the Garrison Channel from Beneficial Drive.
Mind the Gap This salon-style exhibition of alternative art also will raise money to preserve a hipster hangout, the historic Santaella Cigar Factory. Featuring works from a range of local artists at Gallery 209, 1906 N Armenia Ave. in Tampa, the party runs 6 to 10 p.m. There is a suggested donation of $5 at the door, but keep in mind it is a fundraiser.
