Festival lighting up Ybor streets
Ybor City is throwing a party to celebrate the industry that put Tampa on the map: the 10th annual Cigar Heritage Festival. Besides cigar-rolling demos and, of course, lots of stogies for sale, there will be live entertainment, food and drink and plenty of kids' activities (not including cigar smoking). Hosted by the Ybor City Museum Society, it's free, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Centennial Park, on Ninth Avenue between 18th and 19th streets. For information: cigarheritagefestival.com.
Nothing bad could happen at Tiffany's
Cure any case of the mean reds with the 50th anniversary edition of Truman Capote's Breakfast at Tiffany's, in bookstores Tuesday. The 1958 novella inspired a classic film with Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly, and it remains perhaps the most beautifully written and sweetest story about a call girl ever published.
Cue the cake on the set
Stars of three Emmy-winning network TV series celebrate birthdays this week. Today, Tracy Morgan (30 Rock) is 40, and Ellen Pompeo (Grey's Anatomy) is 39. On Tuesday, Calista Flockhart (Brothers and Sisters) turns 44.
