Artist of the month: North Tampa Arts League's Artist of the Month is Magda Barsoum-Homsy. Her work is on display throughout January at the New Tampa Regional Library, 10001 Cross Creek Blvd. Call (813) 273-3652.

Art display: The sculptures of Candace Knapp are on display throughout January from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Carrollwood Cultural Center, 4537 Lowell Road. Drawings and paintings by Lennie Freeman will also be on display, through Thursday. Call (813) 269-1310.

Winter art exhibition: The exhibit, featuring art from Trey Egan, Rick Golden, Nancy Jacey, David Janiec and Roxanne Tobaison, runs 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays through March 2 at the Jacey Gallery, 4802 Gunn Highway, Suite 114. Call (813) 960-5400.
