Picture perfect: The Miss Weeki Wachee Pageant, hosted by International Pageant Productions and Envy Pageant Productions, will be at 6 p.m. Saturday at Weeki Wachee Springs, 6131 Commercial Way, Weeki Wachee. This is a sanctioned official preliminary for the Miss Florida U.S. International, Miss Florida Teen, Little Miss/Mr. and Jr. Miss/Mr. Florida pageants. My Funny Valentine: The Hernando Jazz Society will present "Ladies of Song" from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Wellington Clubhouse, 400 Wexford Blvd., Spring Hill. The Valentine's Day celebration will feature hits such as My Funny Valentine, The Way We Were, I Will Always Love You, and others from the big band era. A cash bar and buffet lunch will be available. Free admission for members; $9 for nonmembers, who should also RSVP to (352) 835-7183 or (352) 835-7942 to reserve a seat and ensure admittance into the gated community.

Date night with Frankie Dee: A Valentine's dinner-dance with the Frankie Dee New York Orchestra will be Sunday at the Towne Square Restaurant Banquet Hall, 3021 Commercial Way, Spring Hill. Doors open at 1 p.m.; dancing is 2 to 5 p.m. Admission is $11; dinner is $7.95. The orchestra includes 18 musicians and three singers. Reservations are suggested. Call Mary at (352) 596-9486.

Model transportation: The Suncoast Center for Fine Scale Modeling will host an open house from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at its newly remodeled facility at 2645 Success Drive, Odessa. The main attraction will be the expanded Sundance Central Railroad. There will also be fine scale models from throughout the world. Symphonic ode to Broadway: The Hernando Symphony Orchestra kicks off its February concert, "The Best of Broadway," at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 18 at the Hernando High School Performing Arts Center, 700 Bell Ave., Brooksville. Additional concerts will be at 2 p.m. Feb. 19 and 7:30 p.m. Feb. 21 at Springstead Theater, 3300 Mariner Blvd., Spring Hill.
