'Evita' continues through March 14 at Richey Suncoast Theatre

Argentina's first lady: Richey Suncoast Theatre continues the Andrew Lloyd Webber Tony Award-winning dramatic musical loosely based on the life of Argentina's Eva Perón, Evita, weekends through March 14 at the theater, 6237 Grand Blvd., New Port Richey. All about the gulf: The Gulf Maritime Festival will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Sponge Docks, Tarpon Springs. The evening will feature Night in the Islands, with dancing, dance instruction, games and music. It's free.

Down in the swamp: 17th annual Weeki Wachee Swamp Fest will be in Linda Pederson Park on Shoal Line Boulevard, Weeki Wachee, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $2 ages 13 and older, free for 12 and younger. Free parking and free shuttle service from lots on State Road 50 and Shoal Line Boulevard.

Wood you: Calusa Wood Carvers will hold a show and sale from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday at Veterans Memorial Park, 14333 Hicks Road, Hudson. The show includes exhibits, vendors of carving tools and books, seminars and food. Admission is $3.
