Fifth Tampa Bay Fashion Week is stylish by design

Tampa Bay Fashion Week celebrates five years with a series of art and runway shows for an entire week. Visit fashionweektampabay.com for more information and to purchase tickets. Here's the lineup.

Saturday

Kid Couture at the Glazer Children's Museum will feature custom-designed garments for kids, plus fashion workshops. Admission is free with a ticket to the museum, but you must have a child with you to attend. The event is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the fashion show at 1 p.m. at the museum, 110 W Gasparilla Plaza in Tampa.

Sunday

Cocktails & Couture is sponsored by Kevin Murphy and will include a fashion show from Saks Fifth Avenue, plus performances by the Bella Danza Dance Collective, Anye' Cole and the Crate Brothers. Proceeds benefit the Pediatric Cancer Foundation. Tickets are $5, $25 for VIP runway seating. It's 7:30 p.m. at the Ritz Ybor, 1503 E Seventh Ave., Ybor City.

Monday

The Runway to Reality Style Seminar hosted by Working Women of Tampa Bay will feature professional stylists sharing fashion trends and tips on dressing for your body type and applying makeup. Meet style coaches Wendi Braswell and Lisa Ford, Misred Outfitters owner Sara Stonecipher and makeup artist Annelis Diaz. Tickets are $20 for members of Working Women of Tampa Bay, $25 for nonmembers. It's 6 p.m. at Push Ultra Lounge, 128 Third St. S, St. Petersburg.

Tuesday

The History of Fashion will showcase museum archive clothing and vintage styles dating back 90 years. The event includes cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and dessert. Tickets are $50, $75 for VIP. It's 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the St. Petersburg Museum of History, 335 Second Ave. NE, St. Petersburg.

Wednesday

The Business of Fashion luncheon presented by the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce includes local fashion designers Rhonda Shear and Kimberly Hendrix. Admission is $50 for chamber members, $60 for general admission, $450 for a corporate table of eight. Register by Monday, cancel with 72 hours notice. It's 11:45 a.m. at the Sheraton Riverwalk, 200 Ashley Drive, Tampa.

That night, the Model Behavior Cocktail Soiree will celebrate designers, sponsors, models and guests involved in Tampa Bay Fashion Week with food and drinks, raffle prizes and photo opportunities. Tickets are $35, advance only. It's 6 to 8 p.m. at the Element, 808 N Franklin St., Tampa.

Sept. 20

Karma — the Shops at Franklin is a pop-up shopping experience with clothes and accessories open all weekend and kicking off with a grand opening party. The party ($35) is from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 20, and the store will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sept. 21 and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 22. The Vault, 611 N Franklin St., Tampa.

Sept. 21

Tampa Bay Fashion Week Runway Show and boutique will feature exhibits from local businesses followed by a fashion show. Designers include Ashton Anderson, Audrey Pat McGhee, Dolly Donshey, Essence Flowers, Hendrix, Lapratto, Shear, Rogerio Martins, Spathose and Wicked Betty Designs. VIP tickets are $75 in advance and $125 at the door until they're gone, and include a swag bag, free drinks and access to designers after the show. General admission is $40 in advance, $65 at the door. It's 6 p.m. at the Ritz Ybor, 1503 E Seventh Ave., Ybor City.
