It's the week of Earth Day, so what better time to welcome National Geographic correspondent and wildlife conservationist Mireya Mayor. Craving a little live music? Check out the Helios Jazz Orchestra as they present a concert of modern big band music at the Nova 535 Art Lounge. The night offers swing dancing, a full bar, cabaret seating and catered treats. Price: $10. (727) 821-6682.

Time to join forces with the Upright Citizens Brigade. This edgy Chicago improv comedy troupe counts Saturday Night Live's Amy Poehler and Horatio Sanz as some of its alums. It's at 7:30 p.m. at the Palladium Theater, 253 Fifth Ave. N, St. Petersburg. $15. (727) 822-3590.
