Florida Orchestra performs Feb. 12 in Wesley Chapel

Members of the Bay City Ballet Company will perform two excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake as part of a concert with pianist Bobby Pace on Feb. 12 at the Center for the Arts at River Ridge, 11646 Town Center Road, New Port Richey.

Maybe you can't be at two places at once, but it sure is nice to have options. On Feb. 12 music lovers will have their choice of two orchestral events featuring some cultural fare and in one case, a little ballet, on either side of the county.

• The Florida Orchestra presents "A Night in the Tropics" at 3 p.m. Feb. 12 at the Center for the Arts at Wesley Chapel, 30651 Wells Road. Think music from Brazil, Hawaii, Greece and more. • Pianist Bobby Pace will perform Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Richey Community Orchestra in "From Russia with Love," a concert of music by Russian composers, at 3 p.m. Feb. 12 at the Center for the Arts at River Ridge, 11646 Town Center Road, New Port Richey. In addition, the Bay City Ballet Company will perform two excerpts from Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake. Tickets are $15, open seating.
