For your radar: Jeff Beck, Sister Hazel and Heavy Pets top the music bill

Jeff Beck: The guitar icon and recent Grammy winner plays the first of two shows at Ruth Eckerd Hall tonight at 8 p.m. Tickets $41-$61. (727) 791-7400;

Clearwater Sea-blues Festival: Today and Saturday boasts seafood, blues music and fun in the sun. Today's headliner is Jimmy Hall and Wet Willie. The music starts at 4:30 p.m. at Coachman Park, 301 Drew St., Clearwater. $5.

Sister Hazel: The band surged onto the alternative rock scene in the mid 1990s, stopping by the Jannus courtyard several times over the course of the band's career. Show is 8 p.m. at Jannus Live, 16 Second St. N, St. Petersburg. $20. (727) 565-0551.

Dana Gould: The comic, actor and former Simpsons writer performs at 8 and 10:30 p.m. at the Improv, 1600 E Eighth Ave., Tampa. $16-$20. (813) 864-4000.

Heavy Pets: It's a jam sandwich of funk, blues, soul and rock with Heavy Pets and Burnin Smyrnans at 8 p.m. at Skipper's Smokehouse, 910 Skipper Road, Tampa. $13 at the door. (813) 977-6474.


Pops in the Park: Pack a picnic for a free concert by the Florida Orchestra in waterfront Curtis Hixon Park, 600 N Ashley Drive, Tampa. Guest conductor Joseph Mechavich leads a program of familiar symphonic favorites, along with highlights from The Sound of Music, George Gershwin's Porgy & Bess and Star Wars. Bring canned good for Tampa Bay Harvest. It starts at 7:30 p.m.


'A.N.T. Farm': Gifted middle-school students attend a high school, just so they can develop teen angst a little bit faster than normal. Series premiere, 8:40 p.m., Disney.

'Killer Outbreaks': The feds wonder if smallpox has returned to the Midwest, and there's a deadly disease at a Dallas hospital. This sounds an awful lot like the plot of the first X-Files movie. 9 p.m., Animal Planet.
