Every year around Christmastime, the Studio@620 presents free performances of Langston Hughes' Black Nativity, a retelling of the classic Nativity story with an African-American cast singing traditional Christmas carols in gospel style. To raise the funds for this year's production, the art hub is inviting the community "to raise the roof during an evening of gospel, jazz, spirituals and a really good time" on Sunday. The night will feature performances by the cast including perennial favorite Sharon Scott. Donations will be accepted for the evening, starting at 6:30 p.m. at 620 First Ave. S, St. Petersburg. Go to studio620.org for information.
