Lightning strikes admission deal Sept. 8 at Dinosaur World

The Tampa Bay Lightning is going prehistoric. Well, plastic prehistoric anyway, with a special day at Plant City's Dinosaur World, home of life-size fiberglass beasts and a special admission deal on Saturday if you visit when the team's promotional crew is there. Visit Dinosaur World on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and see the Lightning's NHL Rolling Thunder tour, part of the team's 20th anniversary preseason tour. Everyone gets special $8 admission during these two hours, then you can stay all day. The Lightning mascot Thunderbug and the Lightning Girls will be there, and they will have giveaways, interactive games and more. The park is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Regular admission is $14.95 adults, $11.95 children ages 3 to 12 and $12.95 seniors. Parking is free. 5145 Harvey Tew Road, Plant City; (813) 717-9865; dinosaurworld.com. — Sharon Kennedy Wynne
