The Humane Society of the Nature Coast's Pet Expo is 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Tom Varn Park, 306 Darby Lane, Brooksville. The annual event includes live entertainment, activities for pets and humans, prize giveaways, a raffle and drawings. Pets on leashes welcome. Parade of honor: The annual Veterans Appreciation Parade is at 10 a.m. Saturday in downtown Brooksville. The lineup starts at 8:30 a.m. in the parking lot behind City Hall, 201 Howell Ave. The parade route will head south on Main Street, east on Liberty Street, north onto Magnolia Avenue, through the courthouse parking lot and across Jefferson Street, then west on Fort Dade Avenue and back to the parking lot. Show off your muscles: The Sunshine State Muscle Car Club presents the eighth annual Fall Super Car Show from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Beef 'O' Brady's, 7601 Horse Lake Road, off the State Road 50 bypass, Brooksville. This is a judged show with trophies awarded. Gerry the DJ will entertain. There will be raffles, games, door prizes and a silent auction. Registration is $15 in advance and $20 day of show. Patchwork garden: The Hernando Quilters' Guild and Spring Hill Garden Club host their biannual quilt show, "A Garden of Quilts," from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Nature Coast Botanical Gardens, 1489 Parker Ave., Spring Hill. More than 150 unusual quilts made by guild members will be on display throughout the gardens. There will be vendors and raffles. Refreshments will be available. Admission is $4. Call (352) 683-9933.

Tour the country through music: The Hernando Jazz Society presents "The USA in Song" at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Wellington Clubhouse, 400 Wexford Blvd., Spring Hill. Guests will be able to listen and dance to tunes such as Moonlight in Vermont, Chicago, Stars Fell on Alabama, Georgia and New York, New York. Admission is free for society members and $9 for nonmembers. A cash bar and a buffet lunch will be available for a separate cost.
