Oktoberfest Tampa will beerfully engage you this weekend

With great weather on tap (!) for the weekend, Oktoberfest Tampa should attract its share of oom-pah-pah aficianadoes this weekend.

The great green lawn, which has been restored after the removal of the party tent for the Republican National Convention, will host singing, dancing, shunkeling (swaying on the benches), beer tasting, live music and the overall feeling of "gemuetlichkeit" (coziness). Be sure to pace yourself for the Oktoberfest Games, which will feature more than 20 events, including a keg toss, stein holding, carry the wench and corn hole.

It continues through the weekend, beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday. Admission is $8.
