On the radar this week: Cirque's in town, a new Harry Potter adventure, dancers galore and some good concerts and comics

Acrobatic dreamscape: Alegria means jubilation in Spanish, and Cirque du Soleil: Alegria is a dreamlike show featuring a cast of 55 performers in a dramatic mix of circus arts and high-flying acrobatics. It runs Wednesday through Sunday at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa. $32-$79. Call (813) 301-2500.

Dance stars: The Millennium Dancesport Championships that comes to Tampa this Tuesday through Saturday will get a shot of Smirnoff. Dancing With the Stars pro and ex-Playboy model Karina Smirnoff will guest judge Friday and Saturday as more than 1,700 dancers compete in a live ballroom competition. Tickets are $25-$150 at the Marriott Tampa Waterside.

Pride on Parade: On Saturday, gay-friendly St. Petersburg will put on one of the biggest pride parades in the country as more than 100 floats join the St. Pete Pride Promenade Parade and Street Festival. It moves down Central Avenue at 9 a.m. and stops at 21st Street for a lively street festival that takes up the rest of the day.

On stage: FreeFall Theatre in St. Petersburg opens Man of La Mancha for a preview show Thursday ($20) with Don Quixote tilting at windmills in an unusual staging that blurs the line between stage and audience. It opens Friday ($32-$47) through July 17 at 6099 Central Ave., St. Petersburg.

Singin’ In the Rain: The Capitol Theatre in Clearwater will be showing just about the best movie musical of all time Tuesday. Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds, Donald O’Connor and Jean Hagen hoof it like masters; $6. Capitol Theatre, 405 Cleveland St., Clearwater.

Concerts: Oregon grunge-punks Everclear play at the Hard Rock Cafe on Thursday in Tampa ($28), pop/punk rockers Yellowcard and alternative rock quintet Good Charlotte play Jannus Live in St. Petersburg on Friday ($20.50-$25.50) and Will Smith’s best bud DJ Jazzy Jeff will host a Nothing But '90s party at the Venue in St. Petersburg on Friday ($15-$20). Then Flo Rida will be in the house Saturday at 8 p.m. ($32.50)

Pottermore.com: Is there a spell to reveal secrets? Then maybe we could figure out this mysterious new website launched by Harry Potter author JK Rowling. Is it a social site? A game? All will be revealed Thursday.

Funny guys: Veteran comic Louie Anderson will be at the Capitol Theatre in Clearwater Friday ($30 and $42) and Big Momma’s House star Martin Lawrence will be at the Straz Center in Tampa on Friday ($39.50-$119.50).

Summer Safari Night at the Zoo: On Friday, the Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo offers this special night with free rides after 5 p.m. and special animal encounters. Included with zoo admission, $23.95 adults. $18.95 kids.
