On your radar: a cool holiday film festival at the Tampa Theatre, a Hanukkah extravaganza or a pop/rock show

Santa's Cool Holiday Film Festival: Tampa Theatre will show a series of six wacky holiday-themed clips including Santa Claus Conquers the Martians, the Jingle Bells sing-along cartoon, vintage Max Fleischer holiday cartoons, Howdy Doody's Christmas Story and a compilation of rare holiday commercials. 7:30 p.m., Tampa Theatre, 711 Franklin St., Tampa. $12. Woody and the Nutcrackers: Woody is a local favorite pop/rock performer. 7 p.m., Skipper's Smokehouse, 910 Skipper Road, Tampa. $7. (813) 977-6474;

White Christmas: This portion of the Capitol Classics Film Series features the 1954 musical comedy starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye and Rosemary Clooney. 7:30 p.m., Capitol Theatre, 405 Cleveland St., Clearwater. $6.

Ralphie May: Voted one of Variety's "10 Comics to Watch" in 2008, the former Last Comic Standing contestant performs a 21 and up only show at 8 p.m., Improv, 1600 E Eighth Ave., Tampa. $22.

Kids and family

Hanukkah Extravaganza: Celebrate the first night of Hanukkah at this eighth-annual community extravaganza, with a special acrobatic show by acclaimed acrobat Liang Patti. Public menorah lighting, live music, face painting, crafts, hot latkes and donuts, raffle and more. 5:30 p.m., Straub Park at Beach Drive and Fifth Avenue NE, St. Petersburg.

Hanukkah On Ice: This free family skating party with classic Hanukkah songs will include the lighting of a 9-foot menorah. It is free, but RSVPs are required at or (727) 789-0408. It starts at 5 p.m., Tampa Bay Skating Academy at Westfield Countryside, 27001 Highway 19 N, Clearwater.
