On your radar: Ballroom dancing, free screening of 'Billy Elliot,' lunch with Bob Graham

Millennium Dancesport Championships: Today kicks off the ballroom competition with more than 1,700 dancers, leading up to Dancing with the Stars pro Karina Smirnoff judging this weekend. Professionals lead their amateur students during the day (9 a.m.-5 p.m.), while professional couples and daytime finalists take to the floor in the evenings (8 p.m.-midnight) at the Marriott Tampa Waterside, 700 S Florida Ave., Tampa. Today's sessions: $25; evening $25-$50.
