K.D. Lang: The Grammy-winning crooner of wide-ranging genres performs with the Siss Boom Bang band at 8 p.m. at Ruth Eckerd Hall. $49 and $85.

Chris Brown: The headlines haven't been kind off the stage, but he still has skillful hip-hop stylings on stage. With Kelly Rowland, T-Pain and Tyga at 7 p.m. at 1-800-ASK-GARY Amphitheatre in Tampa. $25–$75.

Deepak Chopra: The best-selling author and spiritual guru to the stars will address questions about the universe and reality at 7:30 p.m. at Straz Center in Tampa. Tickets start at $34.50.

Diamond Rio: The six-piece country group (Meet In The Middle) won a 2011 Grammy for its latest album, The Reason. Show is 7 p.m. at The Dallas Bull, 3322 U.S. 301, Tampa. $15.

Midtown Through Our Eyes Opening Reception: This annual exhibit of student photography aims to illustrate the experience of young people in the Midtown neighborhood of St. Petersburg by students of Melrose Elementary, John Hopkins Middle and Lakewood High. The work of 42 student journalists and 100 photos on display through Oct. 16. Free reception with student docents tonight from 5 to 8 p.m. at Studio@620, 620 First Ave. S, St. Petersburg.
