Dog show: About 18,000 dogs will pack Brooksville for the Florida Classic Clusters Dog Show, the largest in the state. It continues today and then Wednesday through Sunday at Florida Classic Park, 5360 Lockhart Road. Free, but parking is $5. floridaclassicpark.com.

Music: Evanescence singer and pianist Amy Lee rages on with her angry eyeliner and Victorian style at 7:30 tonight at the David A. Straz Jr. Center for the Performing Arts in Tampa. $37.50, (813) 229-7827. Mrs. Partridge, a.k.a. Shirley Jones, leaves the psychedelic bus behind to sing songs "From Broadway to Hollywood" at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg. $37.50, (727) 892-5798. Florida Orchestra Pops: Celebrate Valentine's Day early with "Music for Lovers," including tunes from Barry White, Cole Porter, Dolly Parton, Henry Mancini and Barry Manilow. Shows are Friday at the Straz in Tampa, Saturday at Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg and Sunday at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater. $15–$45. (813) 229-7827.

Seven Guitars: St. Petersburg's American Stage tackles another of August Wilson's "century cycles" of 10 plays depicting African-American life. Set in the 1940s, Seven Guitars revolves around the death of a musician with big dreams. Previews start Wednesday, $29; opens Friday, $29–$47; (727) 823-7529.

Kids and family

Gasparilla Children's Parade: Activities start at 11 a.m. The big bead-filled parade is 3:30 p.m. at Bay to Bay and Bayshore Boulevards. Fireworks will be at 7 p.m. This year the Jose Gasparilla pirate ship will "come to life'' with lights, video and a visit from the feared Jose Gaspar after the parade. Monster Jam: Have a smashing time celebrating 30 years of Grave Digger on Saturday at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. Show is 7 p.m., but go early to see the trucks and meet the drivers from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. $15–$35. Toll-free, 1-800-745-3000.
