Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon: Thousands will descend on St. Petersburg on Sunday morning for the joy of running 13.1 miles with live bands along the way. At the finish: a free concert with Flo Rida. More info at

National Frozen Yogurt Day: It's today, and to celebrate, Yogurtland stores are giving out free 5-ounce cups of the sweet stuff from 4 to 7 p.m. at stores in Largo, 10500 Ulmerton Road; Tampa, 14379 N Dale Mabry Highway; and St. Petersburg, 4946 Fourth St. N.

Snuggie Bar Crawl: After tripping around St. Petersburg in your chic blanket with sleeves, you'll be thirsty for a drink or two. Start at the World of Beer at 100 Fourth St. S at 6:30 p.m. Saturday. $15. (954) 868-2233.

Wild at Heart: Because Valentine's Day falls on Tuesday next week, a lot of folks will get all smoochy this weekend. Animals, too. Florida State Fair: This year, the fair is more than deep-fried bubble gum (seriously!). New is a 70-foot zip line across a lake, lawn mower races and an indoor extreme sports show. The fair opens Thursday at the fairgrounds in Tampa, and you can save up to $4 off admission and $5 off midway ride armbands through Wednesday at Sweetbay stores.

Dolphin Tale: See the movie about local celebrity Winter the dolphin practically in her back yard, at Pier 60 on Clearwater Beach. Starts about dusk Friday. Free.
